A foundling child is considered an orphan

A: It is impermissible for you to share the foodstuff of your fatherless children while you are not in need (Part No. 14; Page No. 257) to do so for Allah (Exalted be He) says: ...and devour not their substance (by adding it) to your substance. Surely, this is a great sin. , Verily, those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, they eat up only fire into their bellies, and they will be burnt in the blazing Fire! And He (Glorified be He) says: ...and whoever (amongst guardians) is rich, he should take no wages, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable (according to his labour). It is obligatory that the orphan's money is kept, used for providing for them, and paid to them when they come of age. You may eat altogether provided that you pay for what you consume. This is because Allah (Exalted be He) says: And they ask you concerning orphans. Say: “The best thing is to work honestly in their property, and if you mix your affairs with theirs, then they are your brothers. And Allâh knows him who means mischief from him who means good. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
