My husband and mother often gather in one place in my presence but my mother fears that this might be wrong. What is the ruling on this matter?

A:
It is permissible for your mother to live with you at your husband's home. This is because your husband is considered a Mahram (unmarriageable relative) to your mother. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
