Q: I am an old man, married to a good Egyptian woman two years ago. She does her best to comfort me. I have no children, and no one will inherit me except my nephews who live in
Jeddah,
while I live in Al-Wajh.
I want to give my wife one-third of my property as a gift, because of her dedication and looking after me,
is this permissible?
A:
It is permissible for you to give your wife what you mentioned as a gift during your lifetime, in return for her kind service and taking care of you. (Part No. 16; Page No. 188) May Allah grant us success. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family and Companions!
