A man touching the hand of a non-Mahram

Q: There is a devout businessman. His customers include many women. When (Part No. 17; Page No. 28) giving and taking the goods his hand sometimes touches theirs, and that happens often. Should he repeat Wudu' (ablution), and what should he do?

A: It is not permissible for a man to touch the hand of a non-Mahram (not spouse or permanently unmarriageable relative)woman to avert Fitnah (temptation). He must avoid this and repent to Allah. He can buy and sell with women by words only. He has to fear Allah and avoid that which leads to Fitnah. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
