Teaching the Glorious Qur'an to children in the Masjid is a noble deed and you deserve to be thanked for doing it. It is authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) stated:
The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it.
So continue your efforts to teach children having a sincere intention. Try to convince your mother by talking kindly and leniently to her about the excellence of what you are doing. (Part No. 3; Page No. 111) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
