Q: I would like to inform you that
I married the paternal sister of my maternal sister. My wife bore me children, who call my sister "paternal aunt" (since she is my sister) (Part No. 17; Page No. 389) and "maternal aunt" (since she is their mother's sister).
What is the ruling on this?
A:
A person may have more than one blood relation to another, like the case with your maternal sister, who is both the paternal aunt of your children and their maternal aunt at the same time. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
