What are the limits of a wife's relationship with her maternal uncles, paternal uncles, and brothers? Is it permissible for them to kiss each other and for her to show her hair and legs in their presence?
A:
A woman's maternal uncles, paternal uncles, and brothers are amongst her Mahrams (unmarriageable relatives). It is thus permissible for her to shake hands, be in Khulwah (being alone with a member of the opposite sex), and travel with them. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
