A woman and her daughter traveling without a Mahram to perform Hajj

Q 3: Is it permissible for two sisters or a mother and her daughter to travel to perform Hajj without a Mahram (spouse or permanently unmarriageable relative) as they live in a non-Muslim country?

A: It is impermissible for a woman to travel without a Mahram, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Day of Resurrection to travel unless she has a Mahram with her." A group of women cannot be a substitute for a Mahram when traveling, as this was authentically reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him). May Allah grant us success.
