Q 4:
Concerning the saying of Allah (Exalted be He):
And turn them not out of their (husband’s) homes nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open illegal sexual intercourse.
What is the ruling if a woman leaves her husband's home accidentally or intentionally in her `Iddah (woman's prescribed waiting period after divorce or widowhood) without the permission of her husband?
Is this ruling applicable to a woman divorced by Khul` (divorce at the request of the wife in return for compensation to the husband) as divorce is done and the `Iddah is still going?
A:
The woman who is in her `Iddah due to a revocable divorce will be sinful if she leaves the house of her husband without his permission except if there is a need. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
