A woman who doubts she is Junub

Q: A woman often doubts at night that she is in a state of Janabah (major ritual impurity related to sexual discharge) without being touched by her husband. She sometimes even has that doubt while she is awake. (Part No. 5; Page No. 292) She is so confused.

A: All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions.A woman who doubts that she is Junub (in a state of major ritual impurity) does not have to perform Ghusl (ritual bath following major ritual impurity) just for doubt, because the basic state of a person is not being Junub and because the basic principle is that Ghusl is not required of a person (unless there is a clear evidence to prove that it is required).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
