Abandoning Salah and casting lustful glances at women

A: Abandoning Salah is one of the prohibitions that renders one a Kafir (disbeliever). Attending the Jumu`ah Prayer does not compensate for abandoning the Five Obligatory Daily Prayers. This is based on the Hadith in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "That which differentiates us from the disbelievers and hypocrites is our performance of Salah. Whoever abandons it becomes a Kafir." You have to hasten to make Tawbah (repentance to Allah) and to observe Salah regularly at Masjid. You are prohibited to cast lustful glances at women and you have to lower your gaze. You are also prohibited to stay in privacy with a non-Mahram woman (not a spouse or an unmarriageable relative) as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “No man should be alone with a woman unless there is a Mahram (spouse or permanently unmarriageable relative) with her.” We advise you to refrain from casting lustful glances at women or staying in privacy with them lest you fall victim to Fitnah (temptation). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
