Advising someone who commits major sins

424

Q 4: If a man refuses to offer Salah (Prayer) and observe Sawm (fasting), and refuses advice, should he be reported to the government, such as the Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (CPVPV), if it is possible that they might obligate him to do so?

A: Yes, this should be reported to the officials so that they can handle it. This is a form of propagating virtue, preventing vice and cooperation in righteousness and piety.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
