Q 4: After the death of my father,
our relatives bought a car for me and my younger orphan brothers. I use the car for both my personal interest and the interest of (Part No. 11; Page No. 157) my brothers. Is it permissible for me to use the car for my personal interest,
taking into consideration that I cannot afford to buy a private car? How should the expenses of this car be distributed? Should I pay them from my personal money or should they be paid from the general account of the inheritors?
A:
If the relatives who bought the car for you agree that you can use it for your private business, then there is no harm in doing that. But if they do not agree to you doing so, then you are not allowed to use it except for the interests of your brothers.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
