Q:
Is it permissible for a man to answer his mother while offering Salah (Prayer) whether it is obligatory or supererogatory?
A:
If someone commences an obligatory Salah, he will not be permitted to interrupt it in order to answer his mother or father. However, if it is a supererogatory Salah, he will be permitted (Part No. 25; Page No. 229) to interrupt it to answer his parents, when there is a pressing need for that.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
