It is not permissible to believe the maid in such a matter, as
the basic rule is the wife's innocence of Zina (sexual intercourse outside marriage). However, you should continue advising your wife and warning her against Allah's Prohibitions in general, and committing Zina in particular. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
