Being married to a woman and the divorcee of her grandfather at the same time

Q: A man proposed to a woman while being married to her grandfather's ex-wife. Is it permissible to marry the girl and her grandmother at the same time?

A: It is permissible for a man to marry a woman and her grandfather's ex-wife at the same time, as there is no impediment to this. She is not her grandmother; she is her grandfather's ex-wife.
