Q 3: What is the ruling on
the blood that a woman discharges during the first and last months of pregnancy
due to carrying a heavy object, falling down, or other reasons related to health problems in the womb?
A:
The blood a pregnant woman discharges while the baby is in her womb is considered as bleeding which does not require a woman to stop Salah (Prayer) or Sawm (Fast), most especially if she knows that the reason behind this bleeding is a disease, carrying a heavy object, falling down, and so on. She must wear a piece of cotton or so, and continue to offer Salah and Sawm, but she should perform Wudu' (ablution) for every Salah as long as she experiences this bleeding.
