Is it permissible for a Muslim to build and run a cinema?
A:
It is not permissible for a Muslim to build a cinema, or run it himself or on behalf of another person, due to the forbidden kinds of amusement it provides. As seen today around the globe, it presents obscene scenes and images that provoke desires, and promote lewdness and immorality. Furthermore, it involves free intermixing of men and women.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions.
