Children of a woman who does not offer Salah

Q: I heard in the Voice of Islam Radio in Makkah that the children of a woman who does not offer Salah (Prayer) are considered illegitimate children. What shall I do to my children who were born before my wife started to offer Salah? Are they considered illegitimate children?

A: Your children from your wife before she performed Tawbah (repentance to Allah) of abandoning Salah are considered (Part No. 20; Page No. 341) your children, as you thought your marriage was valid. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
