Q 1: People in our country usually
swear by "honesty"
only and do not swear by Allah throughout their life. Is this permissible?
A:
It is not permissible for a Muslim to swear by "honesty" because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said,
He who swears by Amanah (honesty) is not one of us.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
