For children to bow when greeting

337

A: It is impermissible to bow while greeting others. In fact, it is a form of Ruku` (bowing) which is an act of worship that is to be dedicated to Allah alone. The Prophet (peace be upon him) is reported to have been asked: O Messenger of Allah! When a man meets a brother or a friend, should he bow to him? He said: No. It is an impermissible act regardless of whether bowing occurs while standing or sitting.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
