Q 1:
I lent some of my friends and relatives a sum of money. Must I pay the Zakah (obligatory charity) due on this sum of money every year?
A:
If the amount of the loan, whether alone or combined with your other money, reaches the Nisab (minimum amount on which Zakah is due) then the lender, as opposed to the borrower, must pay the Zakah on the amount of the loan for every lunar year that passes in the case that the borrower is solvent.May Allah grant us success.
