Q 2: One day, my wife and her mother went to visit one of our neighbors. When I returned home from work they were still out. When they returned home, I asked my wife where she had been and she told me the name of the neighbor they had been visiting. (Part No. 19; Page No. 164) I said to myself that there is nothing wrong with exchanging visits with neighbors. I then asked her, "Were you alone?" "No," she said, "I was sitting with my neighbor, my mother and my neighbor's husband." When I heard that I was enraged and ordered her not to repeat this again and not to go to her neighbor if men, her husband or otherwise, would be with them. You should bear in mind, Your Eminence, that Hijab in our neighborhood does not cover hands and feet. Women do not cover these body parts in the presence of Ajanib (men other than a husband or permanently unmarriageable male relatives). Your Eminence, am I wrong or right in what I did?
