It is not obligatory for a person desiring to have another wife to do Wisa', which is paying Mahr for the first wife as he pays for the second wife. However, if he treats his first wife well and gives her what pleases her, there is no harm and this is a manifestation of kind treatment. (Part No. 19; Page No. 212) May Allah grant us success.
