Q: I am a young man and responsible for a family.
I work in a restaurant owned by the University of Higher Education, and the law allows students and workers to purchase meals at a lower cost than
the actual value of the meal. (Part No. 11; Page No. 217) I eat in this restaurant and buy additional meals at the same lower price for my family. Is this lawful, taking into consideration that my income is small and does not suffice me and my family.
A:
If the system of this restaurant allows you to do so, there is nothing wrong in doing so.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
