Hijab of a woman working in a hospital

364

Q 4: What are the elements of a woman's Hijab (veil) in hospitals? A Niqab (face veil) might make the eyes look more beautiful than they really are. At the same time, it might hinder working as an obstetrician; for example, there are many emergencies that require wearing special clothes in a few seconds to be ready to enter the surgery room.

A: If a female doctor works in obstetrics or any other branch of medicine, there is no need to wear Niqab while performing surgery if there are no Ajanib (men other than a husband or permanently unmarriageable male relatives) with her. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
