A:
The ruling of a non-Muslim hunting is the same of his slaughter in terms of Halal and Haram. Hence, if the hunter is a Kitabi (i.e. A Jew or Christian), (Part No. 22; Page No. 519) and mentions the Name of Allah over his slaughtered animal, it is permissible to eat. However, if the he is not a Kitabi, it is not permissible to eat his slaughtered or hunted animal, even if he mentions the name of Allah over it. This clarification also provides an answer for the second question.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
