I took some of my grandmother's money before she died with the intention of repaying it. However, she died before I could repay the money

Q 2: I took some of my grandmother's money before she died with the intention of repaying it. However, my grandmother (may Allah be merciful to her) died before I could repay the money, bearing in mind that I am suffering from financial difficulties. What is the ruling in this case?

A: You must tell the legal heirs of your grandmother about it, because the money you took now belongs to the estate of your deceased grandmother (may Allah be merciful to her). If they - being the rightful owners of the money - overlook their right to it, it will be yours; otherwise, you will have to repay it to them.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
