Q 2:
There is a sum of money, that is deposited in a Saving account without increments and a year has passed since it was deposited. Should Zakah (Obligatory charity) be paid on that sum or not?
A:
If a year passes after possessing the money and it reaches the Nisab (the minimum amount on which Zakah should be paid), then it is obligatory to pay Zakah on it.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
