Including school girls in dancing shows while wearing tight clothes

332

Q 1: Is it permissible to include female students of secondary and primary schools (Part No. 17; Page No. 112) in dance shows, while wearing tight costumes revealing their physiques and their charms, with garments no longer than two spans?

A: This is not permissible for it entails uncovering the `Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in public) and exhibiting their charms through these tight and short garments. It also entails dance and music whose evil is widespread; it arouses the desires of those who attend the show and promotes obscenity, corruption and immorality. This show is preceded by preparations to train girls on dancing to music with these alluring clothes in order to master this shameful art and guarantee success in this evil field for the pleasure of the attendants. The show has grave consequences that may lead the girls, or many of them, to master what they are trained on and take it a profession to earn a living in the world of entertainment and obscenities. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family and Companions.
