Q 6:
If a mother asks her son to divorce his wife, is it permissible to divorce her based on the mother's desire?
A: If the wife whom the mother asks her son to divorce is noted for her piety and is not known to mistreat her mother-in-law, the son is not obliged to divorce her. If otherwise, the son has to advise his wife and if she does not pay heed to advice, he is obliged to divorce her. (Part No. 20; Page No. 33) May Allah grant us success.
