A:
The Noble Qur'an is the actual Words of Allah revealed to His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) for the guidance of people to their Lord (Glorified be He). Allah (Exalted be He) says:
Alif-Lâm-Râ. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. (This is) a Book which We have revealed unto you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) in order that you might lead mankind out of darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of belief in the Oneness of Allâh and Islâmic Monotheism) by their Lord’s Leave to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Owner of all Praise.
The Glorious Qur'an is from the Knowledge of Allah which He bestows and teaches to His worshippers. This view is substantiated by one of the two interpretations of the following Ayah (Qur'anic verse):
But Allâh bears witness to that which He has sent down (the Qur’ân) unto you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم); He has sent it down with His Knowledge.
This Ayah means that the Qur'an comprises Divine Knowledge, Shar`y (Islamic legal) rulings, and news of the Ghayb (the Unseen), all of which are from the Knowledge of Allah of which He informs His worshippers. (Part No. 3; Page No. 13) Consequently, it is not permissible to
include the Qur'an in humanities; for this gives the sense that the Noble Qur'an is from the work of humans, which entails putting it on equal footing with other secular sciences.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
