Q 1: I have
a close friend whom I love like my own brother. Is it permissible in the view of the Shari‘ah (Islamic law), for him to look at my wife
and sisters, as their father is dead, and my family and I accept this?
A: Regardless of the closeness of the relationship between you and your friend, it is not permissible for him to see what is Haram (prohibited) for your wife and sisters to show to Ajanib (men other than a husband or permanently unmarriageable male relatives), even if you, they, and all the family accept this. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
