Looking at women's photos in newspapers

(Part No. 17; Page No. 22) A: Looking at pictures of women in newspapers or anywhere else is a means of getting enjoyment from them, trying to know who the women in the picture are, and contemplating their beauty. It can also lead to committing something that is Haram (prohibited). This is, therefore, regarded as Haram too, because the means takes the same rulings as the ends. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
