Is there a certain limit for a woman's Sadaq (Mahr, dowry to a bride from the groom)? What is meant by the phrase "the easiest in their dowry" mentioned in the honorable Hadith?
A:
A Woman's Sadaq has no definite limit. Whatever is permissible to own, whether a large or small amount, is permissible to be given as a Sadaq for women. As for the Hadith narrated by
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stated:
The most blessed marriage is the easiest in costs and dowry.

It means that paying the dowry should be made easy. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
