Q 3: Shaykh, I have a problem, and the problem is that
I have a neighbor whose husband is living
in
the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
as he works
there.
She, praise be to Allah, performs Salah (Prayer) and does all that pleases Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He). However, sometimes when I see her, she talks to me about religious issues and asks me to buy some tapes of the Qur’an and good religious lectures for her. She has been doing this for a long time, around six years. Would should I do now and do you have any advice for me regarding her? Please answer me, and may Allah reward you with the best.
A: There is nothing wrong with you giving this Ajnabiyyah (a woman other than a wife or unmarriageable female relatives) some beneficial Islamic tapes that do not contain anything that conflicts with the Shari‘ah (Islamic law). Try to deliver them to her through some of your Mahrams (spouse or unmarriageable female relatives). This is will be better to protect your Din (religious commitment) and to keep you above doubt, suspicion, and Fitnah (temptation). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family, and Companions.
