Q: A man
had conjugal intercourse, after which he went to defecate. In the process of Taharah (ritual purification) should he begin first with the Istinja’ (cleansing the private parts with water) required to be performed after answering the call of nature or with that required after sexual intercourse?

All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions.
It is sufficient to perform one Istinja’ for both his defecation and having sexual intercourse and then make Ghusl (ritual bath) to cleanse himself after sexual intercourse.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
