A: Paying money for reciting the Qur’an for the deceased is not permissible, because this is a Bid`ah (innovation in religion). Moreover, it is not permissible for a Muslim to take money for reciting the Qur'an.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
