Performing Tayammum instead of Wudu' to catch the congregational Salah

Q: In a case where someone comes to the Masjid (mosque) after Iqamah (call to start the Prayer) has already been called, is it permissible for them to perform Tayammum (dry ablution with clean earth) to catch the congregational Salah (prayer)?

A: All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions. It is not permissible to perform Tayammum (instead of Wudu’) to catch the congregational Salah. Taharah (ritual purification) with water must be performed, even if doing so will result in missing the prayer in congregation.May Allah grant us success.
