Q 2: What is the
ruling on being led in Salah (Prayer) by someone who eats the meat of animals sacrificed for other than Allah
and yet claims to have pronounced the Name of Allah on them?
A:
Sacrificing animals for anyone other than Allah is considered an act of Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship). In such case, the sacrificed animal is regarded as carrion even if the slaughterer has pronounced the Name of Allah on it. This ruling should be made clear to people who are not aware of it. However, Salah should not be performed behind a person who eats from such meat after recognizing its prohibition.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
