Q 14: What is the ruling on
religious supplications accompanied by music?

This is not permissible, for music in itself is Haram (prohibited) and making supplications accompanied by music is mockery and mixing `Ibadah (worship) with amusement. (Part No. 26; Page No. 228) If the supplications are tinged with Bid`ah (innovation in religion), this is even worse, for it combines amusement and Ibtida` (heresy). Moreover, it involves imitating the customs of non-Muslims.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
