Q 3: What is
the ruling on someone who takes their own life?
Would they be considered Muslim or Kafir (non-Muslim)?
A:
If a Muslim kills themselves by mistake, they will be excused and will not be regarded as sinful. However, if they kill themselves intentionally due to difficult circumstances without contempt of Allah's Divine Decree, they will not be Kafir, but they have committed a major sin and are threatened with Fire. Their affair rests with Allah. He may punish them if He so wills or forgive them if He so wills. (Part No. 22; Page No. 253

May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
