Q 1: If
the time of Zhuhr (Noon) Prayer is due when I am in a place where there is no water, is it permissible for me to perform Tayammum (dry ablution with clean earth)
and perform Zhuhr Prayer at its due time, although I am sure that water will become available at the time of `Asr (Afternoon) Prayer, or do I have to postpone the performance of Zhuhr Prayer until the time of `Asr Prayer. Give us the ruling on this issue, may Allah bless you for it.
A:
If the time of Zhuhr Prayer becomes due while you are residing in your homeland and you cannot find water, you should perform Tayammum and pray. You should not delay Salah beyond its time until water becomes available. This is because Allah (Exalted be He) says:
...and you find no water, perform Tayammum
Also, performing Salah at its due time takes priority over Taharah (ritual purification) with water.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
