Q:
Is it permissible to sell one meter of cloth for two meters, or two types for one type?
A:
It is permissible to exchange cloth for cloth whether both are equal in amount or one is more than the other; whether they are of the same type or of different types, and whether the exchange happens at once at a later time, for cloth is not one of the usurious goods.
