A: If the situation is as you mentioned, you have to be patient with your brother and his wife, advise them, and remind them of Allah (Exalted be He) so that He may guide them.If your brother commits major sins and insists on them and does not listen to advice, you can sever ties with him due to his Fisq (flagrant violation of Islamic law) and to keep away from his harm. However, it is also permissible for you to continue advising him and reminding him of Allah at intervals, so that he might correct himself and his wife.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
