Q 2: In some Masjids (mosques),
the worshippers shake hands with each other after Salah and say, "May Allah accept (your Salah)".
What is the ruling on this custom in the view of Shari`ah?
A:
This act has no basis either in the Qur'an or the Sunnah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) stated,
Whoever introduces something into this affair of ours that is not of it, it is to be rejected.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
