Q : Should Zakah (obligatory charity) be calculated on the Nisab (the minimum amount on which Zakah is due) or only on what is more than the Nisab?


A : Zakah is Wajib (obligatory) on the Nisab and on what is greater than it of gold, silver, and their equivalents such as banknotes, commercial commodities, (Part No. 8; Page No. 24) crops, and fruits.May Allah grant us success. May Allah's Peace and Blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!
