If the sacrifice your father slaughtered was to get nearer to the shaykh to get a particular benefit, even if the Name of Allah was mentioned on slaughtering it or another name was mentioned on slaughtering it, it will not be lawful for you to eat from such sacrifice, as it is slaughtered for others besides Allah.If the sacrifice was for Allah's sake and the Name of Allah was mentioned on slaughtering it but the reward was for the shaykh or others, you can eat from the meat of this sacrifice.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
