Slaughtering a sheep every year after marriage believing that this would protect them from envy, diseases, and afflictions, is an unlawful act and a false belief. It is not permissible to call it Sadaqah. In fact, it is a means to Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship). This act must be totally abandoned; and anyone who does that must make Tawbah (repentance to Allah), put their trust in Allah Alone, and be certain that nothing brings good nor wards off harm but Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
