Slight impurity such as a drop of blood that is similar, in size, to a grain of pearl millet

504

Q: What is the ruling on a small amount of Najasah (impurity); for example a drop of blood that is similar, in size, to a grain of pearl millet?

A: Najasah - whether a small or large amount - excluding blood, pus and matter, is not excused. With regard to blood, pus and matter, a small amount of them is excused, if they come out of any part of the body other than the private parts. This is because to avoid a small amount of them will impose difficulty. Allah (Exalted be He) says (what means): ...and He has not laid upon you in religion any hardship And: Allâh intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
